Flying the Cirrus SR22…

Streamlined…smooth…fast….sexy…

Just a few of the many adjectives that come to mind in describing the Cirrus SR22. Today I had the good fortune to takeoff, do maneuvers and land this amazing airplane. Shannon accompanied me on this amazing aerial adventure made possible by the arrival of the Cirrus Mobile Showroom at San Antonio International Airport.

This is an airplane that means business. I rotated the airplane at 75 knots and we soared into a sky full of puffy cumulous clouds. The temperature outside was in the low eighties and I was impressed by how well the Cirrus smoothed out the anticipated turbulence we encountered on such a warm afternoon. Leveling off at 3,500 feet we smoked a trail across the sky at a true airspeed of over 166 knots!
